The Old Coach House, Braunton

We had family over from France and USA, as well as London and Midlands so booked The Old Coach House for a family group of 9 adults. It was perfect. The location was great, the property fabulous , managing to fit ensuites to all bedrooms was so welcome. The accomodation was very clean and the owners had thought of everything including a generous welcome pack. The only comment was that a set of drawers in the twin room upstairs would be useful to put items on including the fan that was also provided. The games room and hot tub were welcome additions. Would thoroughly recommend. Sykes did respond to queries but the owners did once we had their contact details

We booked The Old Coach House as a large family group for a Diamond Anniversary celebration and it did not disappoint. The house is beautifully designed and decorated, lots of space and the rooms are a great size with all bar one being ensuite which worked perfectly for our group. The owners live next door and Hannah was on tap for any questions we had, nothing was too much trouble. A great week spent and memories made.

A good sized family house, spacious enough for 3 generations. Plenty of seating and equipment. A good games room. Very friendly and helpful owners. We all had a great holiday.

The Old Coach House was the most perfect house for our family of 6 adults and 5 children aged 4 to 16. With 6 large bedrooms, 5 of which had ensuite bathrooms, a large lounge, dining room and open plan kitchendining room, it provided a very comfortable space for a large family group. Every conceivable amenity has been carefully thought of by the owners both inside and outside the house. The Hot Tub and the Crab Shack dart board and football table were a real hit. The location Braunton was also perfect for accessing the nearby beaches at Croyde, Saunton Sands and Woolacombe. A good range of restaurants, takeaways, bars and cafes are also within walking distance of the house.

You will not be disappointed by the Old Coach House in fact your expectations will be exceeded. The house is fabulous and great for a big family. The sunken hot tub is such a great addition. Modern but quirky with the decor and an amazing welcome pack. Great hosts next door there is nothing more you would want from a holiday. Pubs, shops and restaurants in walking distance which was such a bonus for us. Wonderful family holiday at the Old Coach House!

The Old Coach House was perfect for our family get together to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday, with plenty of room for everyone and a fun games room and hot tub to keep the younger generations entertained. So handy for walking into Braunton which has lots to offer in the way of cafes and shops and easy to reach our favourite beach at Putsborough, and Croyde and Saunton are also only a few minutes away.

What a fantastic house this is! Beautifully decorated and absolutely everything thought of in it to make your stay perfect, inside and outside!! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves from a 7 year old to an 80 year old. Thank you Alison and Paul, you were perfect hosts, we really hope we get the chance to come back to the beautiful old coach house ..oh and cant end this review without saying everyone loved David the cat !!!!

Great house. We stayed as a group of 9 adults walking the South West Coast Path. Nice courtyard and hot tub to relax our aching legs. Would highly recommend.

Superb accommodation for a family of 12, with 9 adults two teenagers and an 11 year old, there was plenty of space for all. Easy walk into town, and lovely walks around the countryside, plus very easy trip to Saunton Sands, missing the traffic queues in the town.

We had a fabulous stay at the Old Coach House for 4 nights over new year. We were a group of 3 familles 11 people in total and the house was perfect in every way. Special thanks for the hosts for being so accommodating. The area is beautiful. Perfect for exploring the local beaches and further afield. Spacious property, plenty for our teens to do and plenty big enough for us all. Fantastic. Thank you!

We stayed at The Old Coach House for an extended family holiday. There were 11 of us and the house was spacious enough for all plenty of room to be together as well as enjoy some alone time! Beautifully done and well kept property with high spec facilities and everything you need for a fabulous holiday. Owners were unobtrusive but available. A short walk to Braunton village shops and amenities, and a short drive or longer walk! to beautiful beaches nearby. Highly recommend. Thank you

We had a great week at the old coach house,can't fault one single thing about the place or recommend anything that could make it better,all 12 of us thought it was perfect and I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a large property in Braunton. Absolutely beautiful house with fabulous outside space including well used games room and hot tub. We lived every moment as a party of grandparents, parents, and children.Everyone was sad to leave.

Our group of 12 friends really enjoyed our stay at The Old Coach house. . we have stayed at other large properties and this one is the best we have stayed at. We especially loved the huge modern kitchen where we could all cook n chat together. The house was spotlessly clean and .modern. We had a chat with the owners that live next door, they are a lovely family.

Had an enjoyable stay at The Old Coach House. A very clean and very well equipped house. The beds were comfortable and the bathroomsshowers were great. Very convenient for the town so we were able to walk to the Restaurants and shops. The hot tub was well used. The only negative was the noisy seagulls but that might not bother some people.The owner was friendly and left us some lovely groceries and two bottles of wine which was much appreciated. Would certainly return.

Excellent holiday home. We appreciated the early call from Lisa how we wanted the beds configured and the call the day before. Every facility is there and we would strongly recommend this property.

We've just come home from a fantastic week in Braunton staying at the beautiful Old Coach House. House was immaculate, spacious and has everything you need! 5 min walk to restaurants and bars. 11 of us stayed here and every single one of us can't wait to return!!

The old coach house is stunning we were a family of 12 staying. There was something for everyone and devon it's self is beautiful.

The house is beautiful, and just as shown in the photos. We were a party of 8 adults, 3 young children and 2 babies, and there was plenty of room for us all to never feel crowded. The house was immaculate and there were some kind touches for when we arrived eg. provisions, wine and flowers.Also the children were so excited to find the chocolate coins in the safe! Parking was no problem as we were able to fit 3 cars on the drive and there was always parking space just across the road for our other car. One would have to be extremely picky to find fault with this house. The only things which might have helped us a little would be a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs and the fastening on the hot tub cover to be repaired we were always a little worried one of the children might be able to open it All in all a superb house. Thank you.

A perfect property for friends and family to gather for a 60th birthday celebration. Renovated to a very high specification, the Old Coach House provided space and comfort for everyone. The hot tub was also much appreciated! We would not hesitate to return.

The old Coach house was perfect for our stay. We were three families and the property layout worked really well. The children loved the Hot Tub even in October! The owners wete very friendly and welcoming.

My family and I have just had a wonderful week at The Old Coachhouse, Braunton, North Devon where we celebrated my 80th birthday. There were 11 of us and with 6 spacious bedrooms and 6 bathrooms all had their own privacy. All the accommodation was perfect, kitchen, dining room and lounge were all large and very well equipped. We hired a chef to cook for us on my birthday who was fantastic, wonderful food and service second to none. In fact one of the best experiences of my life. The owners, Paul and Allison, who live nearby, couldnt be more nicer and helpful, they even put together a welcome pack for us on arrival. I would highly recommend this holiday home.

Stayed at the old coach house for a week as a family 13 7 adults, 5 kids, 1 baby for my father in laws 70th birthday. What an absolutely stunning property! It was everything and more that we could have wished for! There was ample room for us all, the beds were super comfy, the living room was big enough for us all to sit and relax, the crab shack and hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed by the adults and the kids! We honestly couldnt have found a more perfect place, my father in law was absolutely over the moon! Having the separate dining room worked perfectly for the night we hired a private chef as a surprise, the food and service was incredible and Id highly recommend doing it for a special occasion! The only thing that would have also been great was having a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs as well as the top just because we had 2 very adventurous little boys that love climbing lol! But it was no problem, there were enough eyes on them to stop them going up! Overall a perfect stay and wouldnt hesitate to return!

From a family of 12infant. A really lovely well equipped house. Comfortable large beds and all with bathrooms! Kitchen great with a good range of cooking equipment. Large dining room so all the family can fit in and move around.There is a basic BBQ in the garden for those who are lucky enough to have good weather to use it. Now parking, we fitted 3 SUVs and a VW large van on the drive but don't be fooled by the picture you only have half the drive. Beaches not far away and you can walk to the shops. You will be thoroughly spoilt with this holiday home, so enjoy it. Thank you Lisa and Paul for the wine, juice and milk etc. A lovely thought. A truly lovely house.

Great property that had recently been renovated and provided everything we were hoping for. Lovely location in a small town with several pubs and restaurants. Very clean, tidy and enjoyed the hot tub.

This property was everything we had hoped for and more! We were a party of 6 adults and 3 children, ages 8 twins and 12 and we were celebrating my 70th birthday. Everything was perfect and we especially liked the quirky touches, especially in the Crab Shack and ET overlooking the hot tub which had plenty of use! The owners live next door and are friendly and helpful but never intrusive. Our Grandson loved the Xbox. The bedrooms were lovely, and the number of bathrooms meant we were all able to shower and get ready at our leisure. The weather was very kind for the beginning of April and we were able to visit beaches at Saunton, Woolacombe and Puttsborough which are all nearby plus trips to Lynton & Lynmouth and beautiful Clovelly. This property is superb and the owners should be very proud of what they have achieved in renovating this wonderful house.

Really enjoyed our stay in a fabulous property. Very well equipped, lots of room and good quality decor and furnishings. Comfortable beds. All lovely and everything to a very high standard. The friendly owner who lives next door chatted to us and made us feel welcome. Would thoroughly recommend. One tiny suggestion robe hooks on the bathroom doors would be great.

We were a party of ten, staying for a 60th Birthday, found The Old Coach House to be an amazing place to stay, beautifully furnished, very clean and comfortable, with good faclities. Really did not want to leave!

We had an amazing time in this cottage and was perfect for what we needed. Our group does a similar trip every year and this was best house we have stayed in with plenty of room to sit down to eat at the table together and watch the tv together usually it is all a bit cramped. Also amazing that every room had an ensuite and the crab shack was a lovely addition to the house! We got some great recommendations for a takeaway to watch the rugby on Saturday evening from the host and also had a lovely roast at The Rock Inn would really recommend.

This is indeed a quite superb property ideally situated, immaculately clean with all the comforts of home . ...plus much more ! We were made up of 4 couples 1 with differing taste, I guess, on style and design ....yet the hosts Allison and Paul have 'pulled together' a very tasteful and quirky array of furniture & additions making it so comfortable, unique and fun. The outdoor space coupled with the spacious rooms easily accommodated us all, noting all bedrooms were indeed on the large side. The kitchen is worthy of special praise with designer units, worktops and all facilities required. The property is located within easy walking distance of the Town so the ample car parking space saw all our cars safely parked away for the long weekend. The hosts have done a fantastic job in making this a quite superb place to stay and enjoy. Having some experience in the hospitality field I can only be in awe of what has been achieved here.

The property was certainly worth five stars. Our group was three generations of family and the accommodation catered for everyone. It had a very well equipped kitchen and a utility room, and all the rooms, including the bedrooms, were very spacious. It was also a bonus that all bedrooms had en suites, thus saving queuing for the bathroom! We loved the hot tub and the younger generation the Crab Shack table football and darts. We had in expectantly good weather for the time of the year so did a lot of walking and rock climbing on the beaches and, of course, paddling! Highly recommend this lovely house and hope to return!

We have just returned from a week's stay at this beautiful house. There were 8 of us in our family group 6 adults plus a 14yr old teenager and a 5 yr old child. We were absolutely delighted when we arrived to find an immaculately clean and beautifully presented house with loads of space inside and a lovely area outside for everyone to enjoy. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and everyone had plenty of room to relax with no worries about queuing for bathrooms or taking turns in showers. Although my husband and I don't like to use hottubs, the rest of the family loved it and it certainly looked super clean and well maintained as was the whole property. The furniture was plentiful for our large group and the decor was lovely with some quirky touches around! We had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend for a family holiday. The communication with the owners couldn't have been better any questions were quickly answered and they were most helpful. We had 3 large cars between us and there was no problem fitting them all onto the driveway the lane outside though is quite narrow! We walked into the small town most nights where there were plenty of shops, bars etc. Squires fish and chips must be sampled! We were also very lucky with the weather 7 days of sunshine and we went to the nearest 3 beaches Saunton Sands, Croyde and Woolacombe all delightful apart from too many dogs on Saunton Beach! It was all just fabulous and, if you are considering making a booking here, then don't hesitate it's perfect and you'll LOVE it!
