The Cabin, Combe Martin

Nothing short of excellent! Beautiful setting. Everything in the cabin was of a high standard. We did have a small issue but it was rectified very quickly. Will definately look to book again.

We had a great stay at the cabin. The owners were very helpful and message us before arrival and offered any help.we might need. Accommodation is lovely and spacious. Nice enclosed garden area which was useful for the dogs. Really lovely and will happily book again.

Had a super break at The Cabin. There was nothing we wanted for the owners had thought of everything. The beds were so comfy we all slept like logs. It is in a great location for a stroll down to the sea or visiting nearby towns would highly recommend Lynton & Lynmouth for a day out. We felt really at home and our cockapoos did too. Also the nearby chip shop chips were amazing!

We loved The Cabin. It was very well equipped, everything you needed for a relaxing and comfy holiday. The owners have thought of everything. Combe Martin is a friendly and interesting village especially the beautiful church.

Amazing holiday find. The Cabin is very spacious with everything we needed. Spotlessly clean and every detail thought of. Easy to relax in comfortable sofa and chairs. Abi was quick to respond to initial queries on our arrival. The Cabin is on the Combe Martin High Street and a perfect location for a short walk to explore the local beach. Also in easy walking distance are places to eat or takeaway. Round the back of The Cabin is a beautiful church with a pathway by the stream leading to a well kept play area. Also plenty of beautiful surroundings for dog walks. On our list to return.

Very responsive and informative to all our questions, lovely ladies. Welcome was lovely with a welcome pack and supplies, so thoughtful. Clean, tidy, immaculate. Spacious, we were able to have the dog crates in the hall. Everything you needed, fresh flowers on the table lovely touch. Chippy opposite was a plus, used most days. Lovely walk to the beach, no inclines, if you have mobility issues. Lots of cafe's, places to eat, pubs, a few gift shops.. No arcades, which is a plus for us with grandchildren. Dogs are allowed on the side beach, so they had a swim every day. Coombe Martin had everything we needed. Bus stop outside, so we could leave the car at the Cabin. Caught the bus to Ilfacoombe and Barnstaple. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone. In particular dog owners or large groups. Thank you to both ladies x

The place was exceptionally clean, access and communication with the owner was very good, bright modern kitchen and everything you need for a pleasant stay The configuration of the sleeping arrangements had changed from the pictures online, it had gone from 1 king size bed and a bunk bed in one room, to two king size beds, this didnt bother us as we could easily change sleeping arrangements but it might not suit others ? Then beds were very comfortable! A small point to make on a lovely stay which a had great access to the town and small beach. We would stay here again without hesitation when we visit Combe Martin again

We loved it there, spacious and comfortable. Parking outside the property was a real bonus. The garden, although smallish, was perfect with sunny and shaded areas as well as tables, chairs and benches and secure for dogs and I suppose children as well. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed in ..

A welcome information folder with important information about operating white goods, WiFi password and to operating instructions would be helpful.

Lovely cabin, Just a few minor details for example, No instructions how to use any of the appliances, No information pack , No visitors book. Tv in main room unsuitable for gaming or firestick so needs updating. Apart from these few things we had a lovely stay.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time staying at The Cabin. It was spotlessly clean on arrival. Very comfortable & excellent facilities . Really impressed with the bed linen. A fab welcome pack on arrival that came in very useful whilst waiting for our Tesco delivery. Excellent location as not far from the beach to walk our dog. Also a bus stop just outside with a regular service that we used to visit other places. Would recommend & have

The interior of The Cabin looked very welcoming . More so than the exterior.Flowers ,a welcome note ,the fudge and some food essentials were much appreciated.Surprisingly spacious and nicely furnished.Ideal for quite a large family group such as ours . Not forgetting the dog ! More cutlery would have helped as rather limited.Combe Martin an ideal base and a charming little town. Beautiful church and interesting little museum.The beach a hit with the children rock climbing , crabbing, paddle boarding.

Fabulous holiday let, amazing owners. Abi was very helpful and always on hand should I have any questions. The cabin is immaculately clean, comfy beds and has everything you need, lots of things to entertain us on a rainy day. Beach is a 20 minute walk, co op a 3 minute walk. We are already looking at booking again next year.

Lovely place to stay, nice and spacious. If you want peace and quiet this is the place to stay. Everything you could need is there. Comfy beds, coop just up the road, beach ten minute walk. Would definitely recommend

My family and I had a very good stay in the cabin it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable beds every thing you needed in the kitchen the only thing which would of made the sitting room cosy would of been some low lights as ceiling lights were very bright.

We had a great time, The Cabin is lovely, clean, bright and spacious. We were very lucky with the weather, which is always a bonus. Doggies loved Saunton Sands and Woolacombe beach. We found Lee Cove which is beautiful and had a great lunch at the lovely pub, well worth a visit. We all had a lovely week. Thank you Abi & Courtney. Pat, Stella, Debs, Barry. Just back from our stay at The Cabin. Lovely spacious property. Spotlessly clean and has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Really close to amenities, short walk to beach, and several friendly pubs. The lovely owner is on hand for anything else you might need. Would highly recommend and hoping to return.

A brilliant bungalow in a lovely village. The Cabin is spacious with everything you need for the whole family. Co op up the road, chippie across the road and good friendly pubs in the village. The whole area is dog friendly Abi is always just a phone call away if needed. I couldnt recommend it highly enough.

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous! Walking into such beautiful comfort and an amazing greeting for our holiday, Abi and Charlotte left welcome packs, items to have a good brew which was needed after a day of travelling across the country some lovely fudge and plenty of information of what to do in the area. Ive walked past the cabin many times whilst in Combe Martin and Im so glad myself and my partner finally stayed with our dog. We always come to visit family in the village but we normally get a dog sitter, but after the welcome we will be bringing him with us every time! Abi couldnt have been more welcoming to and helpful and even on checkout day making sure to be as friendly and helpful as possible. We will be back again, that is if Abi and Charlotte will have us, what a beautiful property with amazing hosts, definitely recommend staying here!

The whole experience was delightful, the Cabin is beauitifully set out, the owners thought of everything. In short my family want to have another holiday there as soon as we can.

Absolutely perfect. The Cabin has got everything you need for the perfect stay. Very well equipped kitchen comfortable beds. Comfortable sofas and chairs. Brilliant water pressure in the shower. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Well situated chippy opposite for the lazy days and the coop 250 yards away. The weather was against us but the Cabin has lots to offer. Lots of space and a choice of 3 good quality TVs games and a good outside area. I would highly recommend this to one and all for great family memories. I would definitely book again! The place was out of this world, I've stayed in a few places in my time but this beats every one of them. Spacious, comfortable, I would really recommend this place and if you have kids there's a garden and not far from the beach. Lovely place to stay. Try it. Good for family and friends. Gina. Lovely week, owners very helpful throughout our stay. Local facilities very good, short walk to CoOp, Post Office, Pack o' Cards also short walk away. The Cabin is in a great location walks near by and bus stop directly outside. Don't be surprised by people standing outside The Cabin they are just waiting for the bus!

Lovely stay owner was easy to communicate with, and very helpful. The Cabin was absolutley spotless, everything we could need. Great parking, lovely private garden, ideal for our two papillons! Nice welcome pack, could not reccomend enough. Would love to come back.

This was our second visit, having been here 5 years ago, still as we remembered and a lovely home from home.

Excellent property! Very comfortable. Everything there you could think ofneed, to make your stay enjoyable. Even down to fresh flowers in the dining area. The owners checked to make sure all was well when we got there and we had a contact no.in case we needed anything that they'd forgotten.that never happened. Brilliant stay! Would highly recommend.

The Cabin was the most well equipped place we have ever stopped. It was clean and tidy. Generous livingdining area. Kitchen is small but fully functional with everything you need. Electric hob took abit of getting used to, but managed it. The owner left us a little care package which was very nice of them which consisted of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and a little gift. Main bathroom had a shower cubicle. Main bedroom was very comfortable with an ensuite bathroom bath but no shower. 2nd bedroom was big and very comfortable with 2 double beds which could be a little awkward if adults were sharing, but fine for kids. 3rd bedroom small with a bulk bed. Good for kids, but adults wouldn't fit. Nice little garden with grass for a dog. If there was one thing they could look at was some of the doors. Particularly the main bathroom, we all got locked in at some point. Chippy over the road that's open monsat 58pm. But would recommend ordering on the Friday as it gets really busy with orders so don't allow walk ins. 2 large pubs with gardens within 2 mins walk of the cabin. Neither did food when we were there, but I think one does normally, but the chef was on holiday. Both allowed dogs. Combe Martin is small and beach wasn't the best, all pebbles, no sand. Parking is very difficult. Best to walk the 15 mins to the beach. But the Cabin is ideally situated as a base for visiting Woolacombe and Ilfracombe ect. Saunton sand was a lovely beach too. Good for body boarding and dog friendly.

Wonderful cabin with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great location for exploring Exmoor and the coast. Coombe Martin is a little quiet out of season but still a great seaside village with walks from your doorstep.

My husband is a wheelchair user so rang Sykes to ask if it would be suitable and was told it was ok . Luckily we asked the owner a day before we travelled when we were sent their details and was told the toilets were not accessible so had to buy a folding commode for 90 . We had booked hotels for the journey there and back as it took us 7 hours and my daughter and son in law had booked the time off so felt we couldnt cancel at that stage . I always ring when booking accommodation and dont book online as my husband cannot walk . Disappointed you dont have all the information about the cottages to hand .

This was the second time that we had booked with Sykes Cottages and again it didnt disappoint. The Cabin was very spacious and it had everything you could possibly want. There was parking for 3 cars although it was a bit of an art parking if yours was the third car especially when somebody had parked on the opposite side of the road to the drive. There was plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. The oven was good although food took longer to cook on the hob than it did at home. There was always hot water. There were 2 bathrooms, one with a bath and toilet and the other with a shower and toilet, the water was always hot. It had a very well equipped kitchen. There were loads of childrens games, there was even fishing nets and crabbing nets and buckets. There was a washing line with pegs. The garden wasnt overly big but there were plenty of seats and we had the sunshine. It was situated at the top end of the High Street and was a trek to the beach, but one in the car. It was very well situated to drive to places. We went to the Wildlife and Dinosaur Park which was only a 2 minute drive away, and also Watermouth Castle which was on the way to Ilfracombe, both places were worth going to. We went to The Sandy Cove Hotel, just before Watermouth Castle and the views are stunning and their afternoon tea was scrummy. There was a lovely pub, George and Dragon, a few yards up the road, which was lovely, really good food, lovely management and staff. All in all we couldnt have asked for better, a home from home once again. Thank you.
