Primrose Cottage Reviews

Despite a very wet a few days we enjoyed our stay. Primrose cottage was a lovely spacious well equipped cottage and the patio would have been lovely to sit on!
Rebecca
Lovely property clean and comfortable. We were 2 families staying together 2 adults and 5 children, aged 15, 15, 10, 6 and 4 years and there was plenty of space. No noise or disturbance from the pub next door. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for a great stay!
Lovely views nice and cosy but not very clean as soon as we entered porch to get ... Lovely views nice and cosy but not very clean as soon as we entered porch to get keys it smelt of dog then entering are bungalow even worse dog smell strands of mop head on front room floor cobwebs hanging from deluxe windows cobwebs in kitchen above cooker hood 1 of people staying was rather tall tops of cupboard not been cleaned for months and ensuite sink was covered in toothpaste

Our stay at Primrose Cottage was a delight. It is spacious, well equipped and its setting was peaceful just perfect tor our needs. There was a complimentary welcome pack which was a lovely surprise. It has a pub just a few steps away serving delicious food with a comprehensive menu. We would be happy to recommend a stay at Primrose Cottage and will be hopefully returning soon.

Loved our stay in primrose cottage, cosy, and well equipped. Having self catered all over the U.K. Europe, Australia, and NZ primrose cottage ticked all the boxes. Unlike some people, we dont expect it to contain every single household item, for that reason we take our own bits n pieces. But its impossible to please everyone, all of the time. The rural situation added to its beauty, together with the wild life. We will most definitely return it was a wonderful Christmas and New Year family holiday, thank you
Lovely location. Nice area . Really nice touch to have milk, bread, butter and jam. We enjoyed our short break. On a small note the downstairs bedroom overlooks the property next door ,which unfortunately has a very bright security light that shone into the bedroom at about 6.30 am on 2 mornings, waking us up. So maybe some blackout blinds on the window would help. The pubrestaurant next door served nice meals. But the menu was different to the one displayed on the wall of the cottage. Only a small detail. But overall a very nice cottage in a quiet location.
The cottage was very nicely laid out and comfortable beds where very comfortable the only issue was that there was a broken window in the downstairs bedroom but it didn't stop us from enjoying the place. .. Plus no main rubbish bin for when the dustbin outside is full if staying all week... but would still recommend it
Lovely property, very comfortable however as a self catering property it would be better if there was more utensils such as serving spoons and a carving knife. It also needs a non slip mat in the downstairs shower and something to put soapshower gel.
Jennifer
Lovely location and surrounding area ideal for exploring,However there are some essential equipment missing no bread knife or tongs for cooking plastic spatula melted! No fruit bowl or egg cups.Grill pan in oven clearly shows where sausages were cooked and left unwashed by previous guests. Outdoor furniture could be refreshed and lacks a parasol. On the plus side clean bedding and towels, spacious accommodation, welcome pack adequate, overall a comfortable place to stay and explore the area Having the pub close by was an advantage and had varied menu. The 400 good housekeeping bond is a bit of a joke!!!!!!!!!!!
Already shared with owner direct Lovely location great set up for big family meet ,few beds not to there choice of comfort but cant please all. Tv missing in both upstairs not usually worried but mix of family choice be nice. Hot tub on listing mums but then dissappeared. Gate on garden due to road by pub at time quick with 3yr grandson and my labrador retrievers playing. Walk around camp ideal and horses to watch and alot of bird watching from patio. Be nice to definitely come back if Hot tubs Gates or add hook on we use in many place wooden lift onoff Im fine with pups but others leaving door open ment i had to be there ,they listen to me
William
The cottage was in an ideal spot becuase it was quiet and peaceful no road noise and the layout was perfect for me as i am 90 years old and having a downstairs bedroom and toilet was the ultimate.

Beautiful spacious cottage, fantastic welcome package
garet Ellen
A lovely, well equipped charming cottage, handily situated next to a traditional pubrestaurant. Kitchen had everything you would need no microwave but that was not an issue for us. Bedrooms spacious and clean. They could do with a few added extras like a hairdryer, bedside light, mirror in the bathroom and heating upstairs, for when the weather cools down. None of this affected our stay. We loved the large sociable loungediningkitchen area with plenty seating. Good laundry facilities on site too. One thing worth noting for other guests info is that one bedroom is on the ground floor, the other 3 are upstairs with a bathroom. A quiet area in which to relax with ample outdoor seating too. We will definitely be back.
