Beaufort House Reviews

Shavidri
We were moderately satisfied with the property overall. We booked this accommodation specifically for the Christmas period, mainly because it advertised multiple bathrooms, which was an important criterion for our large family group. Unfortunately, in practice, only two bathrooms were usable, as they were the only ones equipped with proper showers. The others only had bathtubs, which were difficult to use due to very low ceilings that did not allow us to stand comfortably. As a result, we only used the groundfloor bathroom and the topfloor one. Additionally, the water pressure upstairs was very low, meaning we often had to go downstairs to shower. Cleanliness was below expectations. The property felt generally quite old, and the bedding appeared worn and overused, which gave an overall impression of poor hygiene. We had to vacuum several times ourselves, and the sofas were already damaged, stained, and in some cases torn upon arrival. The house was also quite cold, despite attempts to adjust the heating, and the bathrooms were poorly equipped, with long waiting times for hot water. In reality, having only two functional bathrooms for a group of 2021 people, despite having booked a property advertised with eight bathrooms, was very challenging. Considering the price paid, the quality did not meet expectations, and the value for money was disappointing.
Had a great week at Beaufort House. A large property with loads of room for our family of grandparents, sons and their partners and four children. Especially liked the games room, large well stocked kitchen, huge dining room table for all of us to sit at family meal times and we made plenty of use of the little garden. A lovely lounge with plenty of seating, but we chose to use the dining room and garden area for get togethers.
We had a perfectly lovely week at Beaufort House it's a very old property so don't expect it to be fully modernised but it's very good value for money and in a prime location. There were 10 adults and 4 children in our party, plenty of room for all and no falling over each other. We would definitely stay again.

The house is in a fantastic location with just a short walk to Tunnels beach, the shops and harbour. The house is spacious and all bedrooms have an en suite bath or shower. The house is well equipped with everything that you could possibly need. I would highly recommend and would definitely return.
A great place for a large group holiday with more than enough communal space so that we didn't get on top of each other.
Michael
Good family space but tired, any problems were deal with promptly
Patricia
In a good location with adequate parking. Property light & warm, but rather tired & out of date by modern standards some items eg radiators, gas cooker, dishwasher, not fully functioning.
Richard William
Perfect for our family Christmas. Drying room well used and much appreciated as exceptionally wet week. Selection of large pans and oven trays were also appreciated, perfect for cooking for our hungry family. We certainly needed both ovens and the warming oven was a bonus. Plenty of storage and chilling space. House was well heated and hot water plentiful. Thank you for the decorations, crackers and laid table for our first evening.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage. There were 20 of us who came from London. The vast space of the property, cleanliness, abundant bathrooms and proximity to many interesting locations made it a very good accommodation indeed. There was a superb place to view the sunset only 2 minutes' drive. We will definitely come back again and recommend others to stay here.
