Buddicombe House Reviews

Daniel
The property was amazing for our large family stay, there was a lovely homely vibe and everything was clean and well kept. The house was well equipped with all the kitchen equipment you could need and more. A beautiful large dining room and dining table meant we could all easily eat together. All the bedrooms and beds were cosy and clean. The rear garden and patio was enclosed which was great for young children and the dog. Most impressive was the incredible views from the property. We would definitely recommend or look to book the property again.
All was great. On the morning we departed, we noticed the heating was off and the water was only warm. I suspect the boiler was not on but it is in a locked room in the house so not possible to check or restart. You might want to look at this before the next people arrive,
The property was amazing spacious and well equipped. However the garden areas needed some attention. Outside umbrella had broken and unable to secure enclosed area as gate had underneath gap. Having said that the views were spectacular. The games room was an added bonus. Would recommend this property as location excellent to all beaches and tour attractions.

We had fantastic holiday in very comfortable house with beautiful views. One or two things we felt let it down Arriving at house and previous tenants recycling on display blowing around front garden remained there all week our recycling had to be placed on top. The garage door was not locked so easy entry to house, it is now locked. BBQ disgusting needed cleaning before use. Seating area and surrounding paving area very scruffy and overgrown in fact had to cut back nettles and brambles from path to avoid children getting stung and scratched.

Amazing views, an enjoyable week overall. Thank you. . Some points to raise Front garden not small dog safe, large gaps in gates and fences meant we were not fully able to enjoy the view. Road to property very narrow and busy with traffic. Not suitable for dog or pedestrian walking. Garage not secure, door to house from garage unable to lock, garage door could not be locked. AGA cooking range not suitable for large gathering, difficult to use and slow to heat up. Balcony deck slippery, covered in green algae. Games room we needed to buy new air hockey pucks and paddles as those left were worn and broken. Same story for pool table cues and cue tips needed new chalk and cue tips.
The house is really lovely and we actually liked where it was however it does need a bit of TLC It looks very tired outside and needs a gardener to clean up all the leaves that have been blown in the corners. They have been there a long time as you can tell Weeds need pulling out of the slabs as it just makes it feel really untidy & messy. We did get the brush out and sweep it outside, but we shouldnt be doing things like that. Also, the balcony in the main bedroom looked awful and I do have a photograph of it if you would like me to send it, let me know where too. The photo of the champagne on the balcony with the rug & the chairs looks beautiful and the reality is something very different which is a shame really.
A fabulous property in the most incredible position. We absolutely loved Buddicombe House and hope to stay again.
Thankyou for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home. It had everything we all needed and more! Clean, well kept and in beautiful surroundings. Everyone had a great weekend celebrating my husband's 40th and we all said we'd love to come again.. thanks so much!
Most enjoyable holiday. A fabulous property extremely well appointed. We were a party of 10, 6 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 under 4. The property accommodated us all comfortably with plenty of room so we never felt on top of each other. The master bedroom with the patio was especially nice with far reaching views over the sheep filled fields to the sea. The weather was good so we didnt need the games room very much, had it been raining this would have been a great asset. An outstanding property and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to larger groups.

We have just returned from a very restful holiday at Buddicombe House. The property is more than the photo's relay with spectacular views surrounding it. The boys made the most of the games room which you cannot see on the website and is such a good facility. It was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped with the added bonus of watching the newly born lambs springing about in the field next door. Thank you to our host who could not have been helpful when needed. A lovely time had by all.
