Bradley House, Ilfracombe

Very happy with the house overall, although the listing of ground floor room wasn't what we expected. Basement bathroom had a problem with the shower drain that caused water to flow into the bedroom. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked. The TV in the lounge had limited terrestrial channels though even after retuning. And the sofa in the front window in the lounge is very low and difficult to get out of. With the town a few minutes walk away, the house is nicely situated in a quiet street. Glad to have the offstreet parking though!

Bradley House was a great weekend getaway for my daughter's hen party. Big rooms, plenty of space to chill out, and the hot tub was well used, as it was a warm weekend. Everyone had an ensuite bathroom, which was fantastic as there were 2 generations . We walked to the harbour, had ice cream, cream teas and in the evening we enjoyed a meal at Giovanni and Luca's. We parked all 4 cars in the car park, which was great . A wonderful weekend was had by all.

Bradley house exceeded our expectations. It is a fantastic place, clean with massive rooms and loads of great facilities like free standing baths, games and a hot tub. Beautiful decor, and really nice touches like a lovely welcome pack of essentials and treats. It was a huge hit with kids and adults alike 1010

Teressa the housekeeper and her husband were absolutely great, so helpful letting us in early and coming round to sort out the games. Our main issue was that there were insufficient dining chairs one was broken and there were 10 rather than the 12 the property accommodates. Also, the skylights in the upper floor really do need blinds. Other reviews have made this point too. We had a heat wave whilst there and with the window restrictors, it meant the top floor was dangerously hot at night, especially for the 3 and 5 years olds.

There were a couple of minor maintenance issues which we made the housekeeper aware of however they did not impact on our enjoyment of this lovely large but cosy property. The house is well appointed, warm, with plenty of hot water and comfortable bedrooms. Ideally located a short walk from the amenities of Ilfracombe and has good parking. Games room and snug a bonus. Recommend visiting Lime Kiln cafe Ilfracombe, Croyde and Woolacombe Beach

Had a lovely weekend stay in Bradley House for my husbands surprise 65th. The house itself was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We would definitely book again. We all enjoyed the walks back especially the hills

We had a great week at Bradley House. Lovely large property which is furnished nicely and I cant think of anything we needed that wasn't available. The welcome pack was a nice touch on arrival. Teresa the housekeeper sent us a text to say we could go in early which was much appreciated. Only negative point was the recycling and bin situation. They are not big enough for a house of that size. We even went to the local recycling centre one day and got a bit of a telling off when they realised we were from a holiday rental. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week and loved the house.

Only minor concern is privacy, especially to the front 1st floor bedrooms. These are on the level of the road with no voile if you have the curtains open. Also the bathroom to the front double the toilet is situated in front of the window, again no voile to the window so the blind was always drawn. Either needs voiles or frosted window to the lower panes

We loved our stay at Bradley House and the location was perfect. Our only issue was that we followed the instructions to link to WiFi at the property but the router kept shutting down. We reported this to the housekeeper who said she had asked the owners but we did not recieve a reply! The housekeeper suggested we switch the router off and try again which we had done several times but still had the same issue. We eventually connected to another router in the house that was not stated in the instruction book and informed the housekeeper.

This is a fantastic property great for a large family break it ticked all our boxes.

Absolutely superb place. We were a party of 9 adults and 3 children but there was still plenty of room in the house! The house was very clean and we managed to get 4 cars on the driveway. Hot tub was a nice added bonus that we used a couple of times. Games room basket ball and the two arcade games kept the kids entertained, my 5yr old has become a Pac man pro!. Could do with a few playstation games for younger children and an extra controller but I'm being picky. Kitchen has everything maybe some kids cutlery would be useful but again I'm being picky. A tumble dryer would've been welcome but we got by. Think there are one or two saucepans that don't work with the induction hob. The house itself is in an ideal location. Short walk to the harbour, shops and pubs. Spoke to some of the neighbours a few times, who were lovely.

Bradley House is a fantastic property. Great amount of space for all the family. The bedrooms are all amazing and so are the bathrooms. Loved the pool table, arcade games and snug, not to mention the hot tub!! Its about a 10 minute downhill walk to town, 1520 minute walk to the harbour which we loved with its bars, bistro restaurants and shops. Overall a great holiday and would 100 recommend. A special mention to Teresa who got the place ready early for us

Lovely house and everything needed to accommodate a large family including games room which kids loved. Near to the town and lovely places to eat. . Great places to visit nearby and would definately book again.

Beautiful house plenty of space and things to do there, games room was an added bonus as was the hot tub was lovely when we arrived to a welcome pack such a thoughtful touch we were a party of 14, everything about and in the property was beautiful only one draw back was we didn't want to leave everything was done to the highest spec,time with family is special made even more so here thank you.

A great space for a big group offering spacious communal areas as well as lovely bedrooms with en suites. For a big group there needs to be more large saucepans and casserole dishes and a couple of tea towels, some cling film and tin foil would be appreciated. There is a plentiful supply of cutlery and crockery which was great. Clear recycling instructions would also be useful and minimise the housekeeper having to resort it. Overall a lovely house which we would thoroughly recommend thank you.

A fantastic property for a large group of people, very spacious with plenty of places to relax without getting into each others way. The kitchen & lounge area just blew us away & the bedrooms where just as beautiful and comfortable. We all absolutely loved the hot tub, this was just so welcoming ...coming back from a very long walk or the beach, just what you needed...lovelly Just a few minor negatives unfortunately, I agree with previous reviewers, the top bedroom skylights could do with covering, those in that bedroom where up with birds every morning and where not resting properly. The slats in the lower ground bed kept coming out & my lad had to resort to sleeping on the sofa. Also when we arrived the bins where full to the brim we had to wait for those to be emptied before we could start putting our rubbish in. For a large propertyparty maybe have another bin & larger recycle containers? Also lastly i have to mention, access to the lower ground & 1st floor have a fair few stairs so not apt for a disabled person as we found out. My sister did struggle a bit getting up & down the stairs.

A great property for our large family group, which had all we need and more. Great lounge areas a fantastic games room and bedrooms which do not lack any space at all, not to forget a wonderful outside space. The property was spotless and a very thoughtful welcome pack added to great weeklong stay.

Great property, well looked after and furnished, and the team taking care of it are very on it, helpful and proactive. Our only issue was the top level bedrooms have these beautiful high ceilings with sky lights, with no way of covering those sky lights, meaning these rooms were only dark between 10pm and 4am for us, which isn't ideal for bedrooms...

What a fantastic house, we had a family of 11, aged 469, suited us perfect, had everything we needed. The welcome pack was a perfect bonus

We had a really nice stay at the house. It is well equipped and clean and tidy. Unfortunately the issues have started after we left. The hot tub was not well kept. Once we got home several of the party developed severe hot tub folliculitis. We have now been told that we had caused significant damage to a bed and a ceiling which were not damaged when we left. We have no way of proving they were not damaged so have to pay 300. Sykes have ignored our complaint regarding the hot tub. Very disappointing and unsafe!

House was fantastic, location to town ideal. Plenty of things available in house to do to keep everyone busy. House was clean and tidy. Had a fantastic week, sorry it had to come to an end. Only recommendation would be to have bigger saucepans as found it difficult to cook for a family of 14.

The property was everything and more than we expected . As a family of 4 couples and 2 children we all had our own large comfortable rooms with lovely well kept ensuites. The games rooms and lower floor snug was a real treat and again very well kept and fitted out. The hot tub was also good although not used much due to the weather . The open plan kitchen dining room lounge provided a great space for everyone to relax , cook and socialise. The house is located close to the town perfect for walks to the shops, sea and harbour . We enjoyed visiting the numerous pubs and cafes. Special commendation to the little fresh fish shop on the harbour one with the orrange gazebo , their fresh fish was delicious. All round a great holiday and we will definitely consider a trip here again. Thanks

Fantastic home, beautifully decorated and maintained. Wonderful location and exactly as per listing. Had an unforgettable stay! The Prosecco and scones were a lovely thoughtful touch too!

Lovely property for large family stays which is fitted out very well. Great welcome package on arrival and very efficient housekeeping. Only criticism is that the sea view is more distant than I thought it would be.

We loved our stay, at your lovely house. Would definitely recommend it. So much space for the 7 of us. Loved the kitchen, having a bathroom each, the games room was a real bonus & obviously the hot tub. The only thing I would say is, the bed on the middle floor, at the back, seems to be sloping down to the floor both sides & it would be a very tight squeeze for 4 cars to park on the driveway. It is also on a very steep road, so just be aware if you have mobility issues, also its about a 1520 minute walk to the seafront. Nothing that impacted us though!! Thanks again Jo
