49 Esplanade Reviews

Eleanor
A huge thank you for a wonderful weekend! Your home is lovely and incredibly familyfriendly. The grandchildren absolutely adored the dollhouse and the themed bedroomit was the highlight of their trip! We also had a great time with the games downstairs. Well definitely be back!
Genuinely the nicest stay I've ever had. I couldn't find fault in the property, the hostess, the area and the views was top tier. Ive never stayed anywhere that has put so much thought into 'the little things'. Everything was thought of from dog blankets and toys to a hamper on arrival. Highly recommend!!
Lovely place, right at the sea. Really roomy, all the comfort you need. Good atmosphere. Private car park at the rear, little tight, but even our big landrover could fit in there.
Samantha
This is a beautiful house with amazing views, we loved it here & our dog too. It is so much better than the photos and description. The rooftop and being just across the road from the beach, wow! Rachel gave so much detailed information and is so friendly, we will be regulars staying here for sure, cant wait to come back.
Thankyou Rachel your seaside house was everything we could have wished for. The house was immaculate well equipped and comfortable. The location is perfect, step out and onto the beach. Will definitely return and can highly recommend this property
The property at 49 The Esplanade was wonderful. The owners Rachel and David were on hand to help with the tiny queries we had. There are a lot of stairs, to keep you fit. Having the beach on your doorstep was an added bonus. We would definitely stay again
Pauline

Weve just come home from a lovely week stay here, after searching so many sites i found this and fell in love, was exactly what i was looking for. the ONLY place i found too that had stair gates which was needed with a 1 year old. i took everything with me as im used to caravan holidays even my own night lights for the children and none of it was needed, everything you need is there for you.the kitchen is well equipped, theres so many puzzles, board games, books etc, the beds are so comfortable, fresh towels in every room, everywhere is clean and tidy. noticed some reviews that mentioned the cooker was difficult to use but it took 5 minuets to google the make and model and watch a video, was able to use it quite easily..the views are amazing, we had to drive to western to get some binoculars, i loved sitting in the window, watching the boats, planes, the fishermen. the beach is across the road, theres a zebra crossing right outside and entrance to the beach right outside too, so you only have to walk across the road. i dont have pets but the dog friendly area of the beach is across the road to the right too.. the only thing i would of liked is a radio in the kitchen as im not really a tv person and always pottering around and like my radio on but used my phone so that wasn't a problem. i really have no bad words to say, i loved the house, the area was quiet and the host was lovely! also my partner propose so we got engaged too! we have now booked to go again in september. thank you rachel xx

Had a very comfy and relaxing week at 49 Esplanades Burnham on Sea. The house was lovingly styled. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed. The house sits on the main esplanades so everywhere was easily accessible. Yet its a quiet spot. The views and sunsets were lovely. Would recommend to friends and family.
49 Esplanade was a vast property with a qwerky arrangement that suited us perfectly. The location right on the sea front was superb with spectacular views available from the master bedroom and rooftop! The Jack and Jill bathroom between the two main beds was great and the additional wc in the downstairs utility room was a useful addition. We travelled with our two small dogs who were well contained downstairs using the two roller stair gates provided. The kitchen was well appointed with a very big dining table and overlooked the rear courtyard. Beware if bringing dogs that this courtyard is shared with the tenant downstairs who has a cat and a habit of leaving her rear door open so reactive dogs might need to be kept on a tight lead. Despite comments from previous holidaymakers we did not encounter any issues with parking and we found the hob and tv easy to navigate without instructions. There was a lot of carpet and sofa staining in the main lounge and a few damaged items like blinds to the master bedroom and rear bathroom but this was clearly a very popular property and maybe some previous tenants have not been as careful as they should have been. We had no doubt that everything had been thoroughly cleaned so were not concerned at all. We spend a lot of time in Burnham on Sea and the surrounding area and overall were very happy with the accommodation which now sits high on our list of recommended places to stay.
From the booking to the holiday, communication from the owner was fantastic. Wine and cookies upon on arrival. House was beautiful and the location was perfect for us. We were able to take our dogs straight on to the beach. We will definitely be booking again, here. Cant recommend enough.
This was a great property for us as it allowed all the family to get together including two dogs. It was a great location for the beach and very well situated for access to the dog friendly section of the beach. It had a well equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings. The dolls house in the children's room was a great hit with our granddaughter. There were a couple of very minor issues which were quickly resolved. We would have no hesitation in staying again.
We had a lovely stay in Burnham, and the house was fantastic. It is in an amazing location for the beach. But also, as we were reliant on public transport, it is even better for buses regular services stop right across the street. The house itself had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay a well equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas, large bedrooms, and incredible views. There is a large playground a couple of minutes walk from the property that our two small children loved playing in. But the real highlight was Brean Leisure Park with rides, waterslides, soft play and lots of sweet treats! A few small comments regarding potential improvements issues. No blind in the kitchen, which made for some very sunny breakfasts. When we arrived the wheelie bins for the property were overflowing and there were a few bin bags piled in the courtyard, which were attracting lots of flies. Rubbish is only collected every three weeks which I guess explains it. The blind in the master bedroom broke cord snapped during our stay, which was a bit disappointing to block the view. Overall, the house was beautiful and a real treat to stay in this grand residence. Communication from the owner was excellent. Weve promised the kids well come back to Burnham in a couple of years when they are tall enough for a blue wristband and the bigger rides in Brean I very much hope that when we do that we are able to stay here again.
We had a fab stay. The house is gorgeous and fully equipped. Its close to local amenities and a dog friendly beach. I would highly recommend. The only negative points were we didnt receive an entry code on the day of arrival and had to contact Sykes to gain entry to the property and we wouldve benefitted from an instruction manual for the cookerhob and tv but other than that, a brilliant stay and we will hopefully be back again soon.
Michael
Had a problem operating the cooker hob. Had to ring the owner to sort it out. Instructions on how to operate the hob are needed as the lock automatically always came on and how to remove the lock needs to be explained. Also, instructions for operating the television would be handy. Also had problems with poor reception. The cooking tray in the oven had not been cleaned and had dried fat in it. Apart from these items the property was excellent.

We had the most amazing stay at 49 Esplanade, such a beautiful house right on ... We had the most amazing stay at 49 Esplanade, such a beautiful house right on the front &town the house was spotless, with all the essentials we needed we will definitely be back , Rachel was at the end of the phone if we needed any help or had any questions a lovely lady , thank you we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Beverley
Gorgeous property. Well equipped with a lovely rooftop terrace and extensive crockery and kitchen implements provided. Plenty of dishwasher tablets and washing tabs available which is a really thoughtful gesture. Great communication with owner re key codes etc. Attention to detail with plenty to do indoors if the weather wasnt great! Property would benefit from improved hanging space in 2nd double bedroom and appropriate side tables with power sockets. Bedroom mirrors and dressing table rather than 2 workstations would improve ambiance v functionality. Hygiene issues with microwave sites in downstairs loo?
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house it was warm and welcoming, even in mid November. Our bed was really comfortable, the decor and furniture really nice, with lovely spacious rooms.Great location with fantastic views. Would wholeheartedly recommend
The house is joy to stay in. Very clean and maintained. Beautiful views of the sea and very peaceful.it has everything you need to make a holiday. Rachel the host was quick to respond with any questions we had. Cant wait to go back next year.
Rebekah
Beautiful House
A lovely property, very comfortable and beautifully furnished, it is easy to feel at home. The kitchen is really well equipped and the views from rooms at the front are excellent. The parking space is very tight for a larger car but manageable. There is a good selection of games for entertainment on rainy days. A couple of the doors can be difficult to open as the catches dont retract easily ie the door at the top of the first set of stairs from the back door entrance we thought someone had been into the house and locked this door, it took a lot of jiggling to open it and the bathroom heading towards the bedrooms this is because the knob has to be turned almost 360 degrees from inside. A mirror near a plug in the second bedroom for hair styling would be useful too. We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely house and there are plenty of places nearby to visit. We would definitely go back.
Richard
We made a last minute booking and were accommodated really well. The house is lovely with great views of sunsets over the sea.
Other than a few stains on the living room carpet we couldnt fault the property is was gorgeous. Parking would be my only issue as we had 3 cars but all in all we loved it
Christine
We enjoyed our stay here. We were unfortunate with the weather, but thats how it goes. Stockham house is a big house with plenty of room, this ensured every one was able to find a quiet place to relax in. Furnishings were good and the house warm. The only minor faults for us was that some of the lighting didnt work in the main bedroom and the bedding could be of better quality in a quality house. Also the lack of a rug or two by the beds. But these are our personal observations. No clutter. Plenty of good cutlery and crockery, utensils pots and pans etc. milk in the fridge on arrival with tea coffee etc was a welcome treat. A lovely well cared for house. We hope to return to this house next year if possible. We really enjoyed our stay at 49 the esplanade.
Lovely home, bright, clean and well stocked. Large kitchen with everything you could need, comfy beds, quality towels and linens, quite lovely all around. Gorgeous view could have kept me in the window for the entire stay
Comfortable well appointed spacious house. Great location with fabulous views.
